Do I need a paedriatric first aid certificate?





If you want to work with children there are guidelines that have to be followed including legal requirements under the Framework for Early Years.

Any environment where children are cared for should have a person who holds a valid three year Paediatric First Aid Certificate

Childminders should have a valid three year Paediatric certificate

Anyone wanting to assist with days out should have a valid three year Paediatric First Aid certificate.

OFSTED also recommend that all Early Years staff should have a current three Paediatric first Aid certificate, this can be achieved by completing a 12 hour paediatric first aid course.
